The North American equestrian has three iconic seasons that bring together the best in show of the guild that performs throughout its territory and are: Keeneland, Saratoga and Del Mar.

Due to the importance and quantity of prizes which are very substantial, the duration is ephemeral and there are few days in which we can enjoy this show.

The Puerto Ricans John Velázquez, Irad and José Ortíz; the Dominican Joel Rosario, the Venezuelan Javier Castellano, the French Julien Leparoux and Florent Geroux, the Panamanians Gabriel and Luis Sáez, are some of the most renowned whips that will campaign until the third week of April in which this mini season will end.

Keeneland only opens its doors in two of the twelve months of the year, after this session it will return to the activity until the end of September, closing its season in the third week of October.

The coaches are not far behind, names like Chad Brown, Steve Asmussen, Todd Pletcher, Kiaran McLaughlin and Mark Casse, we will see them continuously in the 15 functions this April.

The initial trumpet will be at 14:00 hours (center time) outside of the usual schedule for this racecourse that usually schedules its functions much earlier.

Among the eight races scheduled for today, the Palisades will be run, a sprint 5 ½ furlongs away on a grass track, which will mark the return of the Bulletin, winner in 2018 BC Sprint Juvenile in a group that will draw sparks from track.

There are 14 steeds registered and two more waiting for some last minute drop, which will hardly be given as the weather forecast has no threat of rain.

In the squad there is a filly, something that is not very common to see in North America, however the female Chelsea Cloisters is not out of place among the competitors, it is true that she only has one victory in six official efforts, but she has arrived on four occasions stepping the heels to the winner, including the BC Sprint Juvenile, so this daughter of sorrel First Samurai is a good choice for the exotics of this match.
