Red Sox want to extend the lead at home with the Astros

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Boston Red Sox and the Houston Astros will meet at Minute Maid Park on Wednesday night to play Game 4 of the MLB American League Championship Series. The Boston team beat the Astros and took a 2-1 lead in the series, now they want to visit.

Both teams divided the first pair of games of this set, Houston won 7-2 in Game 1 and Boston took the victory with a score of 7-5 at the end of Game 2 that was played on Sunday. For game 3 last night, the Sox wore a great offense that marked 5 runs in the 8th inning and ended up winning 8-2 against their people.

For Game 4 the Red Sox will send right-hander Rick Porcello to open. The 29-year-old pitcher has 191.1 innings and a record 17 wins and 7 losses during the regular season, and a 4.28 ERA. And in the line of batting they count on Xander Bogaerts, who celebrated the playoffs of the Red Sox with 7 hits, 3 races, 1 homer and 2 carries until the weekend; only on Tuesday he achieved 1 hit and 1 carry.

On the side of the Astros they will play with the veteran Charlie Morton in Game 4. The right-hander has 157 innings and a record of 15 wins and 3 setbacks in games of this year’s regular season. Morton boasts of 3.13 in terms of its effectiveness. On the other hand, the best hitter of the Houston team in Game 3 was George Springer with 9 hits, 5 runs, 3 homers and 7 carries, not bad!

Porcello has a record of 6 wins and one loss in his last seven starts, and he achieved his first playoff victory during Game 4 against the Yankees, but the Astros’ offense is harder to contain. As for Morton, this will be his debut in the 2018 postseason, as he was not required during games in the Division Series Final, nor in the first three of the conference finals.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
