This 2018 was a very productive year for Flavien Prat, who is shaping up as the winner in the fall season of Santa Anita Park.
The Welsh rider has in its showcases all the championships of this 2018, Santa Anita, Del Mar and again the oval Arcadia California, built in the decade of the 30’s of the last century.
Flavien has a saturated agenda for the first Saturday of November, on Tuesday we will know which copies were entrusted to him for the great event.
In this pause to know the final groups of the 14 tests to be played, on an internet site an exercise was done with the last eleven winners of the BC Classic, placed in a hypothetical race where they were the subject of a “Morning Line” that said by the way, it was very interesting.
From the corpulent Gun Runner, to the champion Curlin was enlisted an impressive group. The connoisseurs of the subject gave favorite to the Triplecoronado American Pharoah (5/2); and tied as a second option to: Arrogate, Zenyatta and Curlin (4/1), leaving Gun Runner in the middle of the group (10/1).
On these placements, hypothetical of course, I do not agree with Curlin who would put together American Pharoah in the first place. The sorcerer Gun Runner is at the same height as Arrogate and Zenyatta, although the extraordinary race of the mare can place her as a second favorite, her chain of victories that ended in 2010 with Mike Smith’s calculation error was endless.
That race marked the destiny of the two protagonists, the mare retired from the tracks and her rider entered a depression that cost him a lot of work to overcome.
So important is the BC, which we can enjoy next week.
